Foot Care

Taking care of your feet is imperative, especially as you age. At NPFHT, our foot care team strives to provide quality care by carefully assessing and treating foot conditions and problems. Your foot care team consists of; a registered foot care nurse and a registered chiropodist. The foot care nurse is registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario and has undergone additional certification in foot care. The chiropodist is a licensed professional who completed a bachelor’s degree and then underwent an extensive 3-4 year training program to be able to assess and treat various foot conditions. The chiropodist and foot care nurse work together as a team to ensure your feet are happy!

  • Nail care

  • Corn and callus care

  • Diabetic foot risk assessments

  • Education on footwear, various foot conditions, general foot care at home

  • Plantar wart treatments

  • Ingrown toenails care

  • Nail fungus care

  • Minor foot surgeries/procedures

  • Taking medical history as required

  • Thorough foot assessment

  • Treatment as required

  • Education and consultation
